― Amelia Earhart
Today I had
lunch with a dear friend and mentor. She
lost her husband nearly two years ago after almost 60 years of marriage. They shared quite a partnership. My friend told me that one of her
grandchildren had asked her what she missed the most about her late husband and
she had said the end-of-day debrief. So,
this granddaughter, who lives in another state, has taken to calling her grandmother
at the end of the day to ask her how her day has gone. My friend smiled as she talked about her
granddaughter's kindness.
