“One never reaches home, but wherever
friendly paths intersect the whole world looks like home for a time.”
- Herman Hesse
Most people
don’t talk to strangers. But there are
certain settings when people seem to feel that it’s okay. One of those places is restaurants. The other night while we were dining with
friends, a gentleman who was leaving the restaurant stopped by our table to
tell us how good one of the desserts was.
It was nice to get the dessert recommendation, but the unexpected
friendliness was even nicer.
