~ Nelson DeMille
The high road
seems to usually be the better way to go.
But what about when taking the high road is not your first
instinct? Recently, I encountered a
situation where a mistake had been made that got in the way of something I was
trying to accomplish. I was upset and
wanted to call the person to task. The
person working with me on this project told me to take the high road. As I watched him handle the situation with
graciousness, I told him that I appreciated his tact. He responded:
"Easy for me to do. I just
think about what I want to say and then say the opposite."
