The Kindness of a Directional Rescue

"People rescue each other.  They build shelters and community kitchens and ways to deal with lost children and eventually rebuild one way or another."
~ Rebecca Solnit

My mother has certainly rescued her share of people, but every so often, we all need an assist.  We recently were at a birthday celebration in a nearby town.  My mother was planning on joining us, but got very lost.  Although I tried to direct her on the telephone, it did not work.  A good friend of mine's husband became my mother's knight in shining armor.  He left the party and went looking for her.  It took him more than half an hour to find her and bring her back, but rescue her he did.
