~ Scott Adams
Where I live
is known as one of the worst places to drive in the country -- especially in
terms of driver courtesy (lack of). So
it was with quite a bit of surprise that I watched a driver in front of me
carefully back up to let a car coming from the opposite direction make a
left turn in front of him. That small
act of kindness inspired me a few minutes later to stop so that a car could
enter the road in front of me from the other side of the street.
And that is
what kindness does... Not only does it
benefit the giver and the receiver, but also it impacts those who observe
it. It inspires us to do our part, however
small. And I believe that small acts of
kindness lift our spirits and pave the way for more kindness.
