For some
people, asking for a favor is not an easy thing to do. And then there are people who respond to a
favor in such a gracious way that it makes the favor seem not like a favor at
all. A mom I know is not a big highway
or long-distance driver, so she asked another mother if she could ride with her
to a weekend school activity in another city.
The other mother enthusiastically responded that she would welcome
company on the long drive. The mothers
ended up spending a few hours together in conversation, which they had not done
for a while.
