~ Robert Doisneau
On a recent
evening, I went to the grocery store to quickly pick up two items. As frequently happens, I ended up buying more
than I intended and I struggled with two heavy bags through the parking garage
to my car. In my peripheral vision, I
saw someone pushing a cart very close to me, but I could not see who it
was. At one point, I turned around to
find the 20-something-year-old son of someone I know who works at a nearby
restaurant. It seems that he had been
trying to catch up to me to say hello.
And then he made the offer -- which I immediately accepted -- of carrying
my bags to my car.
