I recently traveled to another city for work and stayed at one of my dearest friend's homes. My friend is an incredible hostess and her generous hospitality knows no bounds. She picks me up from the airport, has a room beautifully and comfortably set up and is always ready to lend me whatever I might need. On this visit, I noticed a small bowl of dark items next to my bed. They looked like decorative pebbles, the type you put in a vase with flowers. But knowing my friend, I suspected they might be something else, so I asked her. Chocolate-covered almonds and other goodies, of course!
