Quiet Kindness

On a recent flight, I thankfully sat next to two quiet gentlemen.  I was especially grateful because two passengers in the row ahead of me got into an argument about how one had treated the other's luggage.  A woman told another passenger who was trying to get his bag in the overhead that he was ruining her luggage.  That man got upset and then the woman's husband got into the conversation.  The man who had been trying to arrange the bags in the overhead told the couple that he was owed an apology.  A few minutes later, the woman's husband apologized.  I was glad to be in an uneventful row.  And when we landed, the gentleman in the aisle seat near me took my bag out of the overhead compartment -- without my asking.
