Kindness When You Least Expect It

“Kindness and a generous spirit go a long way.  And a sense of humor.  It’s like medicine – very healing.”
~ Max Irons

There are things that we all don’t like to do.  For some, it’s going to an event when they don’t know anyone; for others, it might be going to the doctor.  One of the things that continues to surprise me – no matter how often I experience it – is that if I approach what I anticipate will be an unpleasant experience with an open heart and a smile, it is rarely as bad as I think it will be.  For me, what makes the difference is when people surprise me with their kindness.  And it is so welcomed when it is least expected.
