The Kindness (and Patience) of a Tour Guide

"The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt."   Holy Bible, New International Version, Leviticus, 19:34

When I was in Taiwan a few weeks ago, we had an incredibly kind guide named Michael.  In addition to being very knowledgeable about his country, he had incredible patience.  He did not complain as we switched his hike through the mountains to a hike through a mall, and did other crazy things to the planned itinerary.  As the trip came to a close, he gave each person on the tour a postcard with a message that applied especially to her.  He recognized the unique in each of us and honored it.
