Kindness toward Ourselves

At a recent yoga class, the instructor talked about being kind to yourself.  She said that we should not judge how much we could do during class, but just breathe and stay in the moment.  She also said that we should try to not criticize ourselves, but rather be gentle toward ourselves.  I tried it for a while -- surely not long enough -- but it's pretty powerful.  At the very least, it feels much better than the constant self-critical jabber.
