In this age
of social media, I sometimes wonder how much sense some of the gratuitous
sharing makes. I'm not sure that most
people want to know all of the information we share. That said, I recently read an
autobiographical book by a professional athlete that shared challenges that he
had faced and how he had dealt with them.
Not a sports fan by any stretch of the imagination, I found myself
profoundly inspired by the story that he related so candidly. And the other day as I walked on the
treadmill, I pushed the speed just a little higher and I went for just a little
longer as I thought about all that he had overcome.
