"I'm not the smartest fellow in the
world, but I can sure pick smart colleagues."
~ Franklin D. Roosevelt
I recently
needed to complete a project at work that required more knowledge than I had of
a software program. After thinking about
whom I might call, I decided on a colleague in another state who has not been
with our organization long, but has quickly proven to be an incredibly nice and
generous person. He walked me through
what I needed to do and then shared a couple of "hacks" he had developed,
which made what I had to do even easier.
I was worried that the project would take me longer than the two days I
had before the deadline, but thanks to my very generous and kind colleague, I
completed the work within a day and ahead of the deadline.
