I recently met
with someone on a business-related matter and found myself talking to a guy in
finance who goes through life "with an open heart." It fascinates me how some people walk through
the day with a smile, an open heart and a generosity of spirit. They see the opportunities for kindness; they
reach out. They brighten someone's day.
And
then it seems... they move on. One of my
Kindness Heroes sent me a lovely e-mail today.
He said, " I do things not for the name or fame but for the joy or
happiness it will bring to others and after it's done, I don't think about it
again." And yet, those acts of
kindness stay with those whose hearts have been touched.
