“Courtesy is as much a mark of a
gentleman as courage.”
-
Theodore Roosevelt
At a business
meeting I attended recently, a gentleman was at the front of the room making a
PowerPoint presentation to the group. As
he went through the slides, he knelt in front of the table on which his laptop
sat. His supervisor quietly and as
unobtrusively as possible brought a chair and placed it next to his colleague
who was presenting. I know the
supervisor and have always thought of him as a thoughtful person, but his
kindness gladdened my heart.
