A professional
colleague of mine was traveling overseas when she ended up at a hospital in
London with an infection. A hospital
employee in this country, she was struck by the compassionate care that she
received in England. The hospital staff
told her that they were very sorry that she had wound up in the hospital during
her vacation and did their best to have her out as soon as possible. Weeks later, she still talks about their
kindness.
