I was
recently on public transportation, heading back from an amusement park. It was the end of the day and everyone
clearly was tired. An older woman got on
with her grandchildren, but it was standing room only. A teenage girl who had been sitting down
stood up, gently tapped the older woman on the shoulder and quietly asked,
"Ma'am, would you like to sit down?"
The older woman thanked her and sat down with an audible sigh of relief
as her grandson climbed onto her lap.
