"Lead the life that will make you
kindly and friendly to everyone about you, and you will be surprised what a
happy life you will lead."
~ Charles M. Schwab
On a recent
flight, a very friendly pilot greeted us shortly after we boarded. He asked us to make sure we complied with the
crew members' instructions. Then he
asked us to "be nice to each other."
He said that we should say hello to the person sitting next to us, and
that by being nice, we could make the flight more pleasant for everyone. At first, passengers seemed a bit surprised
by the pilot's message, but I am pretty sure there were more smiles -- and kindness -- than there
would have been otherwise.
