I would be
lost without my village. On a recent
evening, my daughters needed to be picked up from a babysitting assignment, but
my son, who was not feeling well, had fallen asleep. I called one of my villagers. “Are you in your pjs already?” I asked. “No,”
she said, “What do you need?” Within
minutes, she was out the door, picked up my daughters, and brought them
home. Priceless.
