The other
day, I ran into a woman I knew from our high school days. Her husband went to the same high school as
my brother, and they remain friends. She
introduced me to her daughter, a young woman in her 20s. And she shared how much she appreciated my
brother’s going to visit them when this daughter was in the hospital for
surgery. It turns out that had been more
than 10 years ago. But it had been
important to her and her husband then, and she continues to remember it all
these years later with appreciation.
