In an office
building lobby recently, I pressed the button for the elevator. It turns out that a gentleman was already on
the elevator with the doors closing when I inopportunely pressed the
button. I apologized to him, but he was
very cheery and said, "Great -- you got it. Otherwise, you would have been waiting for a
while." His friendliness made me
smile.
