Recently, I
called a doctor's office regarding an appointment and the answering service
picked up. The woman on the other end of
the phone was incredibly friendly and helpful.
She carefully took down my name and number, and repeated both back to me
to make sure that she had written them down correctly. I thanked her for being so helpful. We were both smiling. (It's funny how you can tell when someone is
smiling on the other end of the phone.)
And we both continued on our separate ways just a little happier after a
pleasant, albeit random, interaction.
