The Kindness of a Video Birthday Message

My older daughter's best friend is a very special teenager.  And even though she has moved to the other side of the world, she manages to stay in touch not only with my older daughter but with all of us.  Recently, my son celebrated a birthday and received the sweetest video message from this teenage girl who is several years older.  She said that she wished she could be here to celebrate with him and that she couldn't wait to hit the dance floor with him when she comes to visit.  Years ago, before she was a teenager and when he was a little boy, she danced with him at a party and the song always reminds all of us of the two of them dancing together.  I am delighted that their bond continues.  And we have already replayed her message several times because it makes all of us smile -- and happy.
