"Life is made up, not of great
sacrifices or duties, but of little things, in which smiles and kindness, and
small obligations given habitually, are what preserve the heart and secure
comfort."
~ Humphry Davy
One of my
children and I recently took the ride-sharing service in our community to run a
couple of errands -- the last of which was picking up dinner. Unfortunately, we were not finished by 8 pm
when the ride-sharing service stops running.
We tried calling two relatives to no avail. And then one of my wonderful mom friends
called. "Where are you?" I immediately asked. As luck would have it, she was in the same
shopping center where we were, and she and her husband graciously took us --
and our food -- home.
