Kindness and the “Cool” Cousin

“Be still and cool in thine own mind and spirit.”
~ George Fox

We recently visited some relatives, including one of my children’s second cousins.  The young woman had recently graduated from college.  When we left, my children said that their cousin was “really cool.”  I agreed that there was something very nice about her.  She had sat with us and talked to my children and to me about movies.  She spoke nicely to her mother, and was very respectful and kind to the older relatives.  She made coffee for everyone and passed it around.  In addition to being kind and respectful, she seemed very comfortable in her own skin.  If that’s cool, I’ll take it any day of the week!
