"Do not neglect hospitality, for
through it some have unknowingly entertained angels."
~ Hebrews 13:2
I recently
heard a beautiful homily based on a reading about hospitality in the Gospel of Matthew. The priest talked about how
the concept of hospitality has changed since the time of Jesus when you would
welcome the stranger traveling into your home for a meal or the night. She talked about what hospitality might mean
today in our various communities. She
said it could be as simple as helping parents of young children or spending time
with someone who needs to talk. She left
us with the question: What are we called to do for each other?
