My daughter
was going to her best friend's house recently.
Her friend's mother, one of my dearest mom friends, asked me if I would
mind picking up food she had ordered from our local pizzeria. No problem -- it was on my way. After I delivered the food and my daughter, I
was driving a few miles away from our neighborhood to run errands. My friend called me about 20 minutes after I
had left her house to tell me that the pizzeria had left out part of her
order. I told her if I was closer I
would go to get it. "I know my
people," she said, "That's why I didn't call you right away."
