The Kindness of a Greeting

Junior high and high school girls seem to have this uncanny way of seeing you -- and yet not seeing you.  Especially if they are with their "group."  But there are some girls brave enough to break away from the group for a few seconds and greet adults.  Those unexpected greetings always make me smile.
