My son loves math.  And his school principal knows it as she teaches an extra-curricular class called Math Rocks, which of course my son takes.  So when the principal opened our car door at morning drop off recently, she greeted my son with a math question.  I smiled all the way home.  It is terrific that she not only is on hand in the mornings to welcome the children to school, but also knows the children so well that she can personalize morning greetings and capture their imaginations.
