I am not sure
what makes these first couple of weeks of school so crazy, but all the parents
with whom I speak seem to feel it. In
the midst of the madness, I forgot that there was a Back to School night at one
of my children's schools. After a long
day and not a lot of sleep the night before, the thought of driving to the
school and back was less than thrilling.
And then kindness appeared on my cell phone screen. A very dear friend who had been away all
summer texted to ask if I wanted to ride with her. It may not have been a big deal to her, but
to this exhausted mom, her kindness was heaven sent!
