I recently
attended the wake for the father of a friend.
I went by myself and did not know many people there. I was pleasantly surprised when my friend's
8th grade daughter, whom I have met once or twice, came over to speak to
me. We had a nice conversation, and she
graciously introduced me to her friends and to her older siblings.
