~ John Lithgow
When you
don't have a kitchen -- and haven't had one for two weeks, kindnesses that are
food-related are very appreciated. On a
recent day, we were blessed with kindness in abundance.
§
Knowing
that our breakfast options are limited, the babysitter brought us donuts and
other sweet treats.
§
A
generous friend invited us to her home for the day with homemade pizza for
lunch included in the offer. And then
she sent us home with just-baked cupcakes.
§
A
very considerate friend not only gave us mangoes, but also cut them up as she
knew that would make our lives easier.
Sure, living
without a kitchen is a pain. But
enjoying the kindnesses of thoughtful friends is quite a blessing.
