I have a
friend, my steadfast friend, who is great at saying yes. If she can do something, she readily
agrees. And once she does, she keeps her
commitment. Ever since I met her a few
decades ago, she has had the same easy-going manner and willingness to
accompany me on any adventure. She is
never complicated -- there is rarely a "let me see," or questions
about who might be going... And if she
cannot do something, she lets you know. I
was reminded of how much I value the way she responds to invitations recently
when I asked her to accompany me to a Mass, of all things. There is real kindness in an uncomplicated
response.
